OPSA Fundraisers Profile
We often get donations sent to the charity and we are unaware of how the money was raised and the hard work you have put in to raise funds. OPSA are very keen to ensure (if you want us to) that either you, your colleagues, your community is acknowledged on our website, so go on tell us your story either in a letter or email. Dorothy & John
Dorothy & JohnI have been asked to write a short article about myself and John, but for once I am lost for words.

My late husband died seven years ago last November at the age of 63yrs. As the new millenium began, I also needed to move on to a new time in my life.

In March 2000 I attended a Spiritual Meeting which in short turned my life totally around. I was trained to meditate and joined two circles each containing ten people, it was a very new and exciting phase in my life.

In 2002 I met John who was then not spiritual but came every week with me and eventually we trained together for two years to become Spiritual Healers. At this time I was being asked to give readings and progressed from there.

After helping Liz Betts with her garden party in 2004 I decided to do the readings, but charge and give all proceeds to HEROPSA (as it was then). It has worked out well as my life with John also. We write poems which we put into books, bookmarks etc all proceeds going to our charity now known as OPSA.

To date £1,500 has been given to the charity and we are very proud to help such a good cause. We hope, Spirit willing we will continue with this work as long as possible.

Margeret Plummer
Margeret PlummerMargaret kindly arranged a Charity Art Auction recently at Burton Mount In memory of her friend Susanna Rhodes.

The evening went superbly and aided OPSA in raising awareness of our work and charity objectives.

The evening raised over £1,000.00 for OPSA which will make a significant difference to the charity. We are hoping to put the money raised toward new specialist surgical instruments. These will enable the team to perform additional operations, with this additional equipment we will not have to wait as long for sterilisation of instruments.

A big thank you to Margaret, and Pauline Greenwood who allowed us to use Burton Mount, and all her friends and colleagues that made the evening such a wonderful success.
